Physiology
Many people ask... "What is the difference between an exercise physiologist and a physiotherapist?". Exercise physiology aims to analyse fitness to help improve health/well-being and achieve optimal physical function.
An exercise physiologist does not diagnose conditions, but rather prescribes exercises and develops strength training programs to maximise a person's health. In the case of spinal cord injuries and complex neurological conditions, this may involve standing and walking drills, core strengthening, balancing tasks and cardio training.
